Eks Lyretail

Born and raised in a nomadic tribe of kobolds that only traveled at night, Eks was raised to respect the world and love all its many facets. Though there were many things to fear in the world, there were also many things to celebrate, and this philosophy was instilled into him at an early age. So he kept that to his heart when he learned that he enjoyed the act of singing tales of gods and heros, of fallen lords and ladies who rose back up to power, or beasts great and small and how the life of a mouse could teach one's own existence in the world. He also loved playing music and his first instrument he learned was a lyre. So well did he learn this that he one day tried to do so with his tail. He played so beautifully and sang so well that he attracted the attention of an wood elf traveling near his tribe's camp. Moved by his great and surprising voice, the elf offered to take him with him on his journeys. Since then, Eks Lyretail has sang for his supper, and had quickly gone from being a skinny little kobold, to a rather round, but happy one. But despite all the happiness and wealth he got from his talent, he found he preferred quiet solitude to the bustling taverns and inns he sang in, and only did so with the intention of singing for his food. Since that day, he was known as "Lyretail, the Singing Kobold" and traveled the realm in search of adventure and more stories about the gods.
